Description

View of Niedzica Castle also known as Dunajec Castle. It's a medieval castle located in the southernmost part of Poland. It stands at an altitude of 566 m, on a hill 300 m upstream from the Dunajec River mouth. It's believed that famous Slovak highwayman Juraj Jánošík was held captive there, but he managed to snatched the chains from the wall, broke the massive dungeon doors, and fled to his woman. The castle served as a scenography for many films, among others for the Polish TV series about Jánošík and in the adventure TV series "Wakacje z duchami" (Holidays with ghosts).
